Shawn Ferrin is a shareholder of Parsons Behle & Latimer and is the former chair of the firm’s Real Estate practice group. He focuses his practice on real property transactions, with an emphasis on office lease, retail, resort, and community development; land use planning and entitlement; and economic and development incentives.

Mr. Ferrin has handled acquisition, lease, development, and financing transactions throughout the West for numerous clients, including Home Depot, American Skiing Company, Dyno Nobel, Barrick Gold Corporation, and Micron Technology, Inc. He also has significant experience in office lease transactions, including recently representing Ancestry.com Inc., 1-800 Contacts, Inc., StorageCraft Corporation, and Neumont University in their corporate headquarter relocations.  Mr. Ferrin is also actively involved in representing conservation agencies and land owners in negotiating and enforcing conservation easements.

Mr. Ferrin is an adjunct professor at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, where he teaches real estate development and drafting.  He is also a member of the Center for International Legal Studies and has been appointed as a visiting professor of law at Brest State University, Belarus.
