Richard E. Mrazik
Rich Mrazik is an experienced litigator with a practice focused in the areas of personal injury, product liability, real property litigation, and government records.
In the area of personal injury, Rich was recently part of a trial team that obtained a verdict of over $1.5 million on behalf of a client injured in a trucking collision. Rich also recently led a trial team that obtained a verdict of over $500,000 on behalf of a professional truck driver injured in a collision with another truck. Rich has extensive experience litigating medical malpractice cases as well.
In the area of product liability, Rich recently managed litigation in a medical device mass tort involving more than fifty separate actions in over ten jurisdictions, both state and federal. On the manufacturing side, Rich’s clients include a global pharmaceutical company and a composite component manufacturer.
In the area of real property, Rich has litigated cases involving condominium HOA disputes, land use approvals and development rights, soil contamination, and right of way disputes. Rich has also represented architects and engineers in construction cases, with particular focus on the appropriate measure of damages.
In the area of government records, Rich has extensive experience advising both governmental and private entities, including a local news weekly, regarding Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act. When necessary, Rich has helped those clients succeed in GRAMA appeals before the State Records Committee, the Utah Third District Court, and the Utah Court of Appeals.
Rich is committed to community involvement and is proud to serve on the boards of the Utah Avalanche Center, the Utah Bar Foundation, and the Utah Association for Justice.
Rich Mrazik received his J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2005. Prior to law school, he graduated with a B.A. in sociology and biology from Bowdoin College in 1999.
