On Mon., May 7, 2019, Parsons Behle & Latimer, one of Salt Lake City’s oldest and largest law firms, announced the results of its 36th United Way campaign. In a competition between staff, associates, of-counsel attorneys and shareholders, the firm raised more than $66,000 to support United Way Salt Lake’s community partnerships. Parsons Behle & Latimer has historically and consistently been one of Salt Lake City United Way’s top donors.

Michael P. Petrogeorge, Parsons Behle & Latimer shareholder and organizer of the campaign says, “We are proud of our firm’s longstanding commitment to and involvement with United Way of Salt Lake. The work they are doing to improve lives and break the cycle of poverty through education and community support is valuable and unprecedented. I am proud of the Parsons Behle & Latimer employees who work so hard to plan the campaign and grateful for the continued support of our staff and attorneys in helping us reach the firm’s fundraising goals."

The theme of Parsons Behle & Latimer’s 2019 campaign was “Spring into Action.” The Parsons employee Spring into Action committee canvassed downtown businesses to acquire donations which were then offered to employees for a donation. The campaign included personal donations, a fundraising coffee bar, purchased lunches, a Pictionary competition and “day of service” during which employees spent a day preparing planting beds at Kearns High School. An “Amazing Race” day with employee teams was cancelled due to weather.

Spring into Action campaign donations applied to United Way partnership programs will provide low-income children in the Salt Lake Valley with academic support, basic needs such as food and school supplies, mentoring and after-school programs. Parsons Behle & Latimer is proud to be a strong supporter of this impactful organization and its community programs.
