Parsons Behle & Latimer (Parsons), a preeminent law firm in the Intermountain West, is pleased to welcome two new associate attorneys to its Boise, Ida. and Salt Lake City litigation teams. Parsons’ new attorneys include Kristyn B. Escalante, located in Parsons’ Boise office and Joseph D. Watkins, located in Salt Lake City. Parsons’ Litigation, Trials & Appeals practice, led by nationally-recognized chairperson Julianne P. Blanch, is one of the largest and most successful litigation teams in the Intermountain region.
Escalante, a graduate of University of Idaho School of Law, joins Parsons after a successful two-year clerkship with the Honorable Chief Justice G. Richard Bevan of the Idaho Supreme Court. She says, “I feel I can benefit from working for Parsons based on those I am able to work with. It is amazing to be surrounded by so many great attorneys with years of experience and knowledgeable and helpful support staff!” Escalante plans to focus her practice in medical malpractice defense, a legal capability for which Parsons’ Boise office is well known.
Watkins joins Parsons’ litigation team after most recently working for Salt Lake City law firm Clyde Snow. A graduate of the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, he also holds a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Watkins focuses his practice on defending corporate and individual clients in securities enforcement, regulatory, defense litigation, white collar crime, government and independent investigations matters and says he very much enjoys working with clients to help them solve complex legal problems. Watkins is the most recent addition to Parsons’ deeply experienced and expanding team of securities attorneys who represent clients on a national scale.
